DESCRIPTION:Join Ed Penniman as he “Plein Aire” paints in the vineyards with his colleagues\, “Pairing” Art and Wine! Plein aire painting is the practice of creating a finished artwork outdoors\, directly from nature\, rather than in a studio. It’s a French term\, “en plein aire\,” meaning “in the open air\,” and it emphasizes capturing the fleeting effects of light\, atmosphere\, and color as they appear in the natural environment. This approach allows artists to respond directly to the visual and sensory experience of being in a specific place.  \nListen to the sounds of “Traffic Jam”\, featuring former members of Kuumbwa’s honors Jazz band— as their tasty jams paint the backdrop of the day in sound!  \n And of course\, take the time to sip— Burrell School’s finest wines and while the painters find their palettes\, you can find yours in our tasting room!
