DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of tasting great wine and strolling Downtown Willow Glen at our Fall Wine Walk on Saturday\, October 21st.\nTicket Price:    \nAdvanced tickets are $45 each (plus taxes and fees).  If you are purchasing 10 or more advanced tickets for a group then tickets are $40 each (plus taxes and fees). \nCLICK HERE for Tickets:  https://www.simpletix.com/e/fall-wine-walk-2023-tickets-142252 \n​Please note the Fall Wine Walk will be held rain or shine.  No refunds will be given if it rains. \nIf there are any tickets still available the day of the event they will be $55 (plus taxes and fees). \n​What’s Included:\nWine tastings wine glass\, wristband\, and map to all the tasting sites.   \n​When and Where to Check-in\nCheck-in for the event will open at 12:00 pm (event begins at 2 pm) so you can come early to avoid long lines and grab some lunch at one of our great restaurants before heading out to taste wine. Check-in location TBD. \n​Please do not forget your ID\, as we will check ID for ALL attendees.  At check-in you will receive a wristband\, wine glass and a map to all of the tasting sites. \n​Food \nPlease drink responsibly and taste on a full stomach!   Unfortunately\, the Health Dept. does not allow tasting sites that are not restaurants to serve anything other than pre-wrapped individual servings of non-potentially-hazardous snacks\, so most sites will not have much food to offer to you.  We open check-in two hours before the event so you can relax and have lunch at one of our great restaurants before the event.  \n​Bathrooms\nMost of our tasting sites are fairly small businesses so do not have bathroom facilities that can handle a crowd so their bathrooms will not be available to Wine Walk attendees.   Port-o-lets for Wine Walk attendees will be located at the back of the Bank of America parking lot.  \n​Parking\nPlease consider taking a yellow cab or Uber or Lyft to the event instead of driving.  If you do drive to the event please note that no ticket is needed for designated drivers accompanying you who will not be tasting.  Free public parking is available in the Bank of America parking lot (disregard the 2 hour signs for that day).   There are a few other lots in Downtown Willow Glen that also have parking or you can park on a nearby side street.   Just be sure to NOT park behind CVS or Orange Theory Fitness or you might be towed.   \n

Purchase tickets for the 2.5 hour tasting salon or attend both the salon and an intimate winemaker dinner. \nPremier Cruz is an exclusive tasting of Cabernet Sauvignon produced from the Santa Cruz Mountains American Viticulture Area (AVA) where each winery pours a new release and a rare and older vintage to compare and contrast. Premier Cruz is an opportunity to meet an array of the Cabernet producers from the Santa Cruz Mountains region as well as taste some world-class wines\, enjoy a wine harvest dinner prepared by Chef Ross Hanson of Oak & Rye and a silent wine auction. \nSince the late 1800’s the Santa Cruz Mountains has been recognized as a premium Cabernet-producing region\, when local winegrowers began to win acclaim in national and international competitions. At the Judgment of Paris in 1976\, a blind tasting proved that California wines could equal and even surpass the great French wines. One of the twelve wines chosen to represent California was Ridge Vineyards’ Monte Bello Cabernet from the Santa Cruz Mountains. The tasting was repeated in 2006 with the same vintages and the Ridge Monte Bello was judged the top rated wine. \nThe Santa Cruz Mountains is a special place for growing Mountain Cabernet. The region offers an array of individual microclimates\, hot days and cool nights\, marine influences\, high elevations\, distinctive soils and fruit from 80 acres or less\, all contribute to the distinct flavor profiles of a mountain Cabernet unlike those of Napa or Sonoma. DESCRIPTION:About this event\n\n\n5 hours\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEnjoy sipping local wines and beers while strolling through our charming shops and boutiques in Capitola by the Sea. \nPre-registration is $45 and includes: \n– Capitola Village Sip & Stroll commemorative glass \n– 12 two-ounce pour tickets to be used as you shop \n– A map to locate which Village shops are hosting \nCheck-in begins at 11:00 AM at the Capitola Community Room located in the Capitola City Hall at 420 Capitola Avenue\, next to the Capitola Police Department’s main building. Be sure to bring your Eventbrite ticket and your photo ID to check-in. \nWineries/Brewery will be pouring wine in the shops from 12:00 – 5:00 PM for your shopping enjoyment. ABC regulations prohibit walking between tasting locations with any wine in your glass. Thank you for either pouring out or consuming wine at each tasting location before walking to the next!
