Though February is the shortest month of the year, it is jam-packed with holidays and special occasions, all well-suited to sipping some fine Burrell School wines. February 3rd is the full moon known as the Snow Moon or Hunger Moon, followed by Winemaker Dave’s birthday, and then Valentine’s Day on the 14th,with Presidents’ Day right on its heels. We’ll be open on Monday, February 16, celebrating George, Tom, Abe and the gang, so come enjoy a day in the mountains, buy some wine to take home and snuggle up to watch “Holiday Inn,” a favorite classic!
And there’s more—Mardi Gras is February 17th, the last chance for a big party before the start of Lent.
Don’t forget Chinese New Year, the Year of the Sheep, on February 19th.
Whatever you’re celebrating, uncork some of Winemaker Dave’s finest and toast in style! We heartily recommend older vintages of Syrah or Estate Pinot to pair with any kind of lamb you may be serving. If you have any 2005s in your cellar, they’re 10 years old and probably showing brilliantly.
