All the elves at Burrell School would like to wish you a Very Happy, Healthy, Prosperous and Delicious New Year!
2013 should be a superb one – at least we’re off to a good start in the rain department. We’ve had 30-some inches already, which puts us close to the entire amount we got last year. And hopefully, we’ll be blessed by Mother Nature with more moisture, in the middle of the week, of course! Our vineyards could use a drink, and it’s wonderful to see the Lexington Reservoir, which our Pichon Vineyard overlooks, filling up to the delight of all the waterfowl.
Our tireless vineyard crew has been pruning the Pinot Noir – kind of like giving it a haircut – look how trim and svelte the vines are now! With 14,200 vines to prune, they’ll be busy clear til March. We’ll give a progress report in our next e-dition!
It’s Popcorn for the Playoffs at the Burrell School tasting room. January weekends bring us NFL wild card, divisional and championship games.
And our staff members are football FAN-atatics, so we’ll have some special wine sales for our football fans. Come on up, munch some freshly popped popcorn and sip some wine. NFL logo gear encouraged.
Go Niners—headed to the divisional playoffs!!
