Greetings, Wine Lovers! ~ We’re thrilled to share that harvest season is officially in full swing! Our Pinot Noir was the first to come in. Last week our amazing team, led by our vineyard manager Chido, along with his wife Pati and their dedicated crew, harvested all of our Pinot. It’s a significant milestone, and we couldn’t be more excited about how this year’s vintage is shaping up! Next up we’ve got our eyes on the Chardonnay which looks to be ready in the next week. Dave is checking the sugar levels as well as the fruit for taste. By checking the color of the seeds a winemaker can tell a lot about the readiness of the fruit. If the seeds are still quite green, the fruit is not yet ready for harvest. If the seeds are starting to turn more brown, then it’s just about ready for harvest. We’ll be keeping you updated as we move closer to bringing those grapes in from the vines. We also had a fantastic time at the Capitola Art & Wine Festival this past weekend. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and meet new friends. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and made the event so memorable!
