April Passport Hops Into Spring at the Schoolhouse
April is the perfect time for “A Spring Fling:” Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines are budding out in the warm sunshine, and spring bulbs in Anne’s gorgeous garden are bursting forth with an abundance of exuberant blossoms just in time for Spring Passport. It’s coming up this Saturday, April 16, at all the Summit to Sea Wineries, and many more, including the newly opened MJA Cellars, just past Summit Store on Highland Way.
Burrell School is the perfect place to begin a Passport adventure: the weather will be splendid, the views amazing, and you’ll have the chance to try Truffle Gateau, a gourmet chocolatier who will be sampling their Belgian chocolate baked truffles: www.TruffleG.com (Drooling is allowed)
Passport featured wine special is the Spring Fling Four Pack: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Syrah, just $89, a flinging fabulous foursome!
Also on sale is the 2007 Estate Chardonnay. This vintage wine of the month and is on sale at the special price of $20 (a 20% discount). Easter brunches need Burrell School Chard.
If you’d just as soon skip Passport, you’re in for a sweet treat! Sunday, April 17th and Saturday, April 23rd is the Easter Bunny Hop at Burrell School and the Summit to the Sea Wineries. Each winery will be pairing their wines with specially selected Jelly Belly candies. Match Burrell School’s Chardonnay with a honey Jelly Belly—yum, yum, hippity-hop on over and check it out!
Visit each of the wineries participating and you’ll be able to say “Bean there, Done That!” in a whole new way.
