2012 Zinfandel, Carignane, Mataro “Class Reunion”
Our Class Reunion is a big, muscular and well-structured wine. Flavors of wild black cherry, a hint of menthol and a whiff of juniper are followed by notes of orange peel and espresso. The softening tannins and smoky oak notes are a result of nearly two years of aging in French oak barrels. The Class Reunion tag is due to the intense fruit flavors of three vineyards planted in 1902 in the San Martin area of the Santa Clara Valley.
This wine will continue to age well through 2022.
